Woman admits to running Msida brothel

A 21-year old Columbian woman has been given a 18 month suspended sentence after it was discovered she was making money from prostitution.

Bernal Puerta Monica Alejandro pled guilty to the charges that she was using an address in Msida as a brothel.

According to the prosecuting police inspector Joseph Busuttil, the police had received a tip-off about the apartment. They promptly raided the property and arrested the accused.

Alejandro’s sentence has been suspended for four years, owing to her cooperation with the police.
