Filmat: Ifaqqsu l-fkieren mill-aħħar bejta fil-Gżejjer Maltin

The last nest for 2020 hatched early this evening. Being the nest that had the most challenging conditions (due to storms and sea swells), the work carried out by those involved resulted in an overwhelmingly positive result . Two of the hatchlings that showed signs of extreme dehydration were assisted for the first few minutes on recommendation of our vet. They were immediately released once fully recovered to make their way to the sea with the rest. NTM thanks all its volunteers, our vet Dr Grupetta, ERA officials, MTA and all those who helped in making this busy nest year a success. Data on the last nest will as always be issued by ERA in an official report. Credit video: Mark Zammit Cordina

Il-lejl li għadda faqqsu l-fkieren mill-aħħar bejta li kien hawn fil-bajjiet Maltin dan is-sajf.

L-għaqda Nature Trust ħabbret dan fuq Facebook. Spjegat li din il-bejta ffaċċjat kundizzjonijiet diffiċli ħafna minħabba l-maltemp, imma r-riżultat kien wieħed pożittiv ferm.

Tnejn mill-fkieren li faqqsu kellhom sinjali ta’ nuqqas ta’ ilma, u ngħataw kura mill-veterinarju Dr Gruppetta. Ladarba dehru f’saħħithom, inħelsu fil-baħar mal-kumplament tal-fkieren li faqqsu.

Nature Trust irringrazzjat lill-voluntiera kollha tagħha, lil Dr Gruppetta, lill-Awtorità għall-Ambjent u r-Riżorsi (ERA), lill-Awtorità Maltija għat-Turiżmu u lil dawk kollha li għenu bil-bejtiet li kien hawn f’Malta dan is-sajf.

L-ERA għandha toħroġ rapport b’informazzjoni fuq din l-aħħar bejta.
