Zero new coronavirus cases in a week – Fearne

No new coronavirus cases were registered for one week, Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Chris Fearne announced on Thursday morning.

Writing on Twitter, Fearne announced the good news while cautioning the public to remain prudent.

It is not known whether any new recoveries were registered. As it stands, four cases remain active.

On Wednesday, Malta opened its doors to more countries deemed safe. The list includes the United Kingdom, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, China, among other countries.

The public is advised to continue maintaining social distancing, wearing of masks and practice hand hygiene.
