Żabbar BOV branch closes temporarily after employee tests positive

A Bank of Valletta employee has tested positive for coronavirus, the bank announced in a statement, leading to the temporary closure of its branch in Ħaż-Żabbar as from Monday.

The service of the Night Safe at the branch is also being temporary suspended.

The branch will be disinfected according to the guidelines by the health authorities and will only be reopened when it is safe to do so, the bank explained on Facebook.

Contact tracing is also underway meaning that any clients or staff who were exposed will be contacted by the health authorities.

Other branches are still closed, the bank reminded. These include Gżira, Marsa and Ħal-Qormi. Ħamrun branch is only offering limited services.

The bank advised its clients to visit its website for the latest updates on whether their branch has been hit by coronavirus.
