Yorgen Fenech investigated by French authorities

Yorgen Fenech is being investigated by French authorities in order to establish if Fenech used his assets in France to finance the assassination of journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia.

This was announced by the French National Financial Prosecutor Office after sons and husband of assassinated journalist and the organisation Reporters without borders filed a complaint with the French authorities.

The complaint was filed in December 2019 following the allegations against businessman Yorgen Fenech who is being accused of ordering the assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia on October 16th, 2017.

The results of the investigation by the French National Financial Prosecutor Office will be handed to the Maltese authorities once concluded.
