Prime Minister Joseph Muscat said that he felt betrayed by his friend and former Chief of Staff Keith Schembri. Muscat was replying to EPP MEP Roberta Metsola. She asked Muscat if, in all the long years that he had served as chief of staff, he had felt betrayed. “Muscat answered yes” said Metsola.HOwever, in a tweet, later on, Metsola said that the betrayal was made by Muscat.
It is Muscat who has betrayed his country. If he thinks he can try to brush off responsibility he is sorely mistaken.
