Yellow Vest protesters hit the streets again in France

More than 150 people have been arrested by the Police in Paris during a protest, the first yellow vest protest since the start of the coronavirus outbreak in France.

The last yellow vest protest was on the 14th of March, three days before the government announced the lockdown.

Police in Paris has banned demonstrations which have spread to the nearby Champs Elysees after its famous Arc de Triomphe monument was defaced during previous yellow vests marches.

The Police said that hammers, screwdrivers, masks and empty bottles were confiscated.

The number of new COVID-19 cases in France increased by over 9,000 over the past 24 hours.
