The Water Services Corporation says that it has made a €94 million turnover.

This announcement comes as part of the company’s publication of its 2018 Annual Report, in which it highlights major changes to its operations and profits.

WSC explains that in addition to the sum, the company has also managed to its sixth year with a profit. The sum of €6 million recorded in 2018, which it explains has been reinvested in the company, is apparently double that of 2017’s performance.

The report also highlights that 2018 had also seen fewer leaks due to better management.

WSC also explains that last year had been a successful one for ‘New Water.’ They explain that this comes as a result of the opening of the Gozo and South Polishing plants which had been opened in July and September respectively. The North Polishing plant had previously been opened in June 2017.

On customer related matters, WSC explains that it informed around 2,800 people of potential water leaks as well as making over 3,000 home visits connected with reports of high consumption or water infiltration.
