World Taiji Day to be held in Malta

The inauguration of a series of master classes in Taiji being held in Malta was held recently.

Present for the inauguration was Parliamentary Secretary for Disabled Persons and Active Ageing, the Hon. Anthony Agius Decelis, the Director of the China Cultural Centre Mr Yang Xiaolong, the President of the Malta Martial Arts Association Mr Adrian Axisa and Swieqi Local Council Mayor Mr Noel Muscat.

The master classes are aimed for individuals practising Taiji on a professional level and also classes can be of interest for mature people, helping them to gain co-ordination and balance, thus enhancing their quality of life.

The China Cultural Centre, together with the Malta Martial Arts Association in collaboration with the Parliamentary Secretariat for Disabled Persons and Active Ageing and the Swieqi Local Council, are currently hosting two prominent Chinese Taiji Instructors who are running the master classes – Master Ye Xuan and Ye Feng.

World Taiji Day in Valletta

These master classes will be held up to Friday 26 April, culminating with variety Taiji demonstrations in celebration of the 13th edition of World Taiji Day in Malta, taking place in Freedom Square Valletta on Saturday 27th April between 10.00 am and 12.00 pm. Anyone interested is free to join in the Taiji demonstrations.
