Two more men have died of coronavirus, the health authorities reported on Sunday.
The daily death toll rose to three.
A 79-year-old man tested positive for the novel virus on 6 November and died at Mater Dei Hospital.
The second victim was a 71-year-old man who tested positive for coronavirus on 31 October and also died at Mater Dei Hospital.
Woman dies of Covid-19 at Good Samaritan Hospital
A 91-year-old woman has died of coronavirus, the health authorities announced on Sunday.
The woman became the 76th victim to pass away since the first coronavirus case was registered in Malta.
The woman had tested positive on 31 October. She was receiving care at Good Samaritan Hospital, a long term facility in St Paul’s Bay where elderly care home residents are being transferred when they test positive.
Whilst offering its condolences to their loved ones, the health ministry appealed to the public to continue following the recommendations of the health authorities, including social distancing, the wearing of facemasks and regular hand-washing.
