A 77-year-old woman died in this morning in Rabat after falling down the stairs in Vjal il-Ħaddiem in Rabat.
The accident happened at around 10:30 am on Friday. According to the Police the woman tripped and fell while walking down the stairs.
A medical team was called on the scene to assist but the woman was pronounced dead on site.
Duty magistrate Rachel Montebello is leading an inquiry and the Police are investigating.
