A 79-year-old coronavirus patient has died on Monday, becoming Malta’s 34th pandemic victim, the health authorities reported on Tuesday.
The woman who lived in a home for the elderly had tested negative during a routine swab test on 26 September.
The woman died on Monday and was found positive for the virus after a post-mortem swab test.
Once again the government statement said that the deceased had underlying health conditions.
The Ministry offers its condolences to her family members, while reminding everyone to remain vigilant and follow instructions issued by the Department of Health. These include washing your hands frequently, social distancing, and the use of a mask.
On Monday, another woman who was also cared for at a home for the elderly also succumbed to coronavirus.
