Archbishop Charles Scicluna said that one should open their heart to everyone, and appreciate the diversity in one’s abilities and skills.
Mgr Scicluna presided over mass at San Miguel Resource Centre in Pembroke where he delivered his homily. During mass various people with different abilities received the Sacraments of Confirmation and the Eucharist.
Archbishop Scicluna said that when sacraments are celebrated many a times the main protagonist is not mentioned, referring to the Holy Spirit. Addressing those who would say that people with different abilities do not understand fully the significance of the sacraments, the Archbishop said that one should leave such considerations in the hands of God.
Archbishop Scicluna reminded that everyone has dignity irrespective of one’s personal background.
