We all must see that the country is not ruined – Bartolo

Tista' taqra bil- Malti.

Minister Evarist Bartolo has warned that the National Anthem should be lived not just sung. In clear reference to the creative approach to the national anthem prior to the Prime Minister’s address, Bartolo appealed for unity. The minister said that several constituents are approaching him, constituents of different beliefs who are afraid that civil violence will erupt.

Bartolo said that the country is in a dangerous and delicate place and the common good must prevail. Bartolo appealed for reason and respect not passion and hate, for calm not violence, for patriotism not egoism and partisan politics. He insisted that justice can happen without burning a whole country. He said that it is the duty of all the country to see that the country is not ruined.
