The suspension of water polo matches has been extended to the women’s league as well as the U13 and U15 competitions after another water polo player tested positive for coronavirus, the Aquatic Sports Association of Malta announced in a brief statement on Sunday evening.
The association announced that the executive committee has decided to postpone matches until 22 August.
On 12 August, the ASA had announced the postponement of games until Sunday 16 after an athlete tested positive to coronavirus.
On Sunday, 63 new coronavirus cases were reported by the health authorities in the daily bulletin.
