The actors who were taking part in Masquerade Malta’s Matilda the musical in Malta were dealt a heavy blow when the event had to be postponed indefinitely due to the coronavirus situation.
However, they have managed to keep their spirits up by taking part in music videos (filmed in their respective homes). First, a number of adult cast members of the musical, which was to have premiered at the Malta Conference Centre on the 17th April, came together virtually to sing one of the musicals’ numbers – ‘When I Grow Up’.
And now it is the turn of the talented children who came together – virtually – to sing the song ‘Revolting Children’.
The message by all the cast and crew of the musical is: ” Stay home. Stay safe.” Masquerade Malta founder and director Anthony Bezzina said that postponing the musical was tough but, “in these extraordinary and difficult times we need to rally round and do what is right for our collective well-being.”
