‘Daphne’s murder showed that we need to start afresh,’, the Deputy leader of Partit Demokratiku, Timothy Alden has said.
In a video message, the PD Deputy leader suggested that, ‘hatred in Malta still kills’, referring to the murder of journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia.
He also made reference to the murders of Karin Grech and Raymond Caruana in 1977 and 1986, which have not been investigated properly.
Alden said that in order for there to be ‘closure’ he promoted the PD’s calls for the creation of a Truth and Justice Commission to investigate the murders, which is ‘truly independent’.
“This Commission will not replace the police in their job. We support the police,”, Alden said.
