The European Parliament Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON) is striving to identify ways of reducing money laundering.
This was said by EU Parliamentarian David Casa during an interview with Newsbook.com.mt in Strasbourg. In recent months, Casa had said that a need to give greater importance to money laundering within the European Union and Member States is essential.
The MEP stated that money laundering is complicated and not detected easily. He added that money laundering varies in forms, including corruption and human trafficking.
“I will spare no effort in identifying and stopping the blatant violation of the law and theft from European citizens”, concluded Casa
