It has been two months since a wall forming part of a private residence had collapsed near a construction site in Triq Mimoża in Ħamrun.
Janet Walker has posted on Facebook expressing her concern about the lack of investigations being done. She stated that during this period, she has been “laughed at by their architect” and “ridiculed”. Moreover, she added that the developer has tried to intimidate her with his hands shaking in front of her face.
“This is against human rights, or is it because I am a woman?”
Although five families have been affected, no-one is aware of any progress which has been made. Walker stated that has paid for an architect out of her own pocket so that her family doesn’t end up homeless. She added that the lack of investigations is against human rights, or due to the fact that she is a woman.
Walker insisted that she has tried to report to the Planning Authority, building regulations office, their architect, the developer, the contractor before the tragedy happened.
