In churches in the United States, Christmas trees take on a different appearance because instead of the customary decorations, the trees’ branches are home to cards with gift requests from children.
Fr Emmanuel Magro explained to Newsbook.com.mt that this is called The Giving Christmas Tree. He mentioned that the parish invites people to attach these cards during Advent.
In an interview, Fr Magro said that people can be very generous, and that his parish dedicated to St Bernardette, they received around 300 cards.
He said that, like all other Churches in the Catholic Church, there is a Christmas Eve mass in the evening, and even a midnight mass. Fr Magro explained that on Christmas Day, mass is in the morning because very few people attend in the evening.
