Watch: Reżistenża Malta seeks rule of law for corrupt

A banner saying “arrestaw lill-korrotti” (arrest the corrupt) was fixed at the side of the overpass in Triq Mikiel Anton Vassalli early on Thursday morning. In a press release Reżistenża Malta explained that they but up the banner because Malta is “afflicted by an epidemic of corruption.”

The activists said that the sign was put up in reaction to the revelations made by Reuters and Times of Malta earlier this month as well as the NAO report published on Wednesday which bolsters what had previously been exposed by the assassinated journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia.

They are expecting the Police to take all the necessary action against those implicated in “this network of criminality” and are also asking those in key roles to show courage an uphold the values of justice and the rule of law, as “corruption robs a nation of the future it deserves.”
