Preparations are underway for the fifth edition of Caritas Malta Christmas lunch for those who will spend Christmas Day alone.
Speaking to Newsbook.com.mt, Caritas Malta director Anthony Gatt explained that the Archbishop’s Curia will open its doors at 10am on Christmas day. The lunch will be held at the Curia.
The guests apart from enjoying a meal and each other’s company, will also have entertainment provided for the occasion.
Gatt thanked Archbishop Charles Scicluna and Joseph Galea-Curmi for hosting the lunch at Curia. He also thanked The Alfred Mizzi Foundation for providing the food items and St Peter’s Foundation which covers various costs. During this year’s edition, Caritas Malta took care of reducing the amount of single-use plastics used. The Office of the President will take care of preparing a dessert for those in attendance.
The Alfred Mizzi Foundation chairperson Julian Sammut explained that this was an opportunity for the foundation to participate in this annual event.
