Tista' taqra bil- Malti.

Partit Laburista (PL) leadership contender Chris Fearne said that he is not in apposition to judge whether Minister Chris Cardona did any wrongdoing if he visited a brothel in Germany.

In his interview with Fr. Joe Borg for Newsbook.com.mt, the PL deputy leader and Health minister said that it is up to Minister Chris Cardona to contemplate whether his alleged visit to the brothel was right or wrong, and he will not be the one pointing fingers.

When asked if he is worried politically that he has a cabinet minister that has attended a brothel, Fearne replied that it is all up to Cardona.

Fearne also explained that Cardona is deemed innocent until proven guilty, when asked to explain why a government minister lost his chance to explain the allegations made against him in court.

The court case had stemmed after assassinated journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia had posted on her blog that Minister Cardona had visited a brothel whilst on an official visit in Essen Germany.

Back in 2017, Minister Chris Cardona had insisted that he was in a hotel in Essen at the time of his alleged visit at the FKK brothel.

In July of the same year, local mobile telephony operators received court order to store the data from Minister Cardona’s mobile that show his whereabouts on the day of the alleged visit to the brothel.

From her end, Corinne Vella, said that the Caruana Galizia family does not want the case that Minister Chris Cardona and his consultant Joe Gerada had initiated against her sister was brought against the assassinated journalist to be the retracted.

In one of his Facebook posts, Matthew Caruana Galizia stated that Cardona had allowed for the prescription to expire and will be liable for court expenses. He added that such a move implies that Cardona id guilty.
