Tista' taqra bil- Malti.
PL MEP candidate Josianne Cutajar reacted to the possibility of being elected thanking all those who have placed their trust in her and the other Labour candidates. Cutajar said that the Maltese have chosen representatives that speak out in favour of the country.
Cutajar was interviewed by Newsbook.com.mt at the Naxxar Counting Hall late on Sunday evening prior to the official results being announced. At present the projections are showing that Malta’s six representatives will be Miriam Dalli, Alfred Sant, Alex Agius Saliba and Josianne Cutajar for Partit Laburista while Roberta Metsola and David Casa for Partit Nazzjonalista. If elected, Cutajar will be the first Gozitan to be elected to European Parliament.
Reacting to the news that she will probably be elected on behalf of Partit Laburista, Cutajar said that she humbly accepts the result. According to Cutajar, the historic win for Partit Laburista shows that the electorate has acknowledged the work done by Partit Laburista and gave importance to the work done by the Prime Minister and PL leader Joseph Muscat. Cutajar further elaborated that with the results gained by the party, this will allow them to continue with their work at a European level.
Cutajar said that the process is nearing the end and that she will continue following closely. According to unofficial sources the result show that the gap between Partit Laburista and Partit Nazzjonalista is at 50,000 votes.
