US actor Kevin Spacey has posted a video on Youtube on Christmas Eve, responding to charges of sexual assault against a teenager in Nantucket, Massachusetts.

Spacey will appear in court on the 7th of January over the allegations of wrongdoing committed in July 2016.

Assuming his most iconic character, President Frank Underwood from House of Cards, Spacey tells viewers that he denies the charges and calls on the audience to take the facts into account over the speculation and hyperbole.

‘You wouldn’t believe the worst without evidence, would you?’ he asks, ‘You wouldn’t rush to judgements without facts.’

‘I’m certainly not going to pay the price for the things I didn’t do’, he adds.

The victim of the alleged crime is the son of Heather Unruh, a former television news presenter.

Unruh publicly accused Spacey of touching her son inappropriately and buying him a drink despite the state drinking age being 21. The alleged victim was 18 at the time.
