Joseph Mangion il-Kapxi, whose fireworks beatboxing saw him become the unlikely star – if not the ultimate winner – on Malta’s Got Talent – joined the fundraising marathon in aid of the Dar tal-Providenza on 103 Malta’s Heart in his characteristic style on Wednesday.
As Jes Saliba, on behalf of the Dar tal-Providenza, announced that donations had surpassed the €9,000 mark around 11 hours into the 30-hour marathon, il-Kapxi launched a few of his fireworks to the tune of a festa march.
The marathon’s presenters also joined in the fun, with their own fireworks impressions judge by Mangion.
In a brief appeal, Mangion urged listeners to be generous and help the home, as well as to follow all the relevant recommendations to limit the spread of Covid-19.
