On Saturday, health authorities announced that five new coronavirus cases were registered in Malta. 18 positive cases have been recorded in total so far.
The Superintendent of Public Health Prof. Charmaine Gauci said that all cases confirmed in Malta were imported cases.
In the meantime, Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Chris Fearne announced on Facebook that medical staff is increasing beds at Mater Dei Hospital to cope with a possible increase in patients positive to coronavirus.
