The Dean of Canterbury’s pet cat Leo made a special appearance (or rather, disappearance) in one of his online morning prayer videos recently, turning it into a viral hit.
In the video, Leo is seen striding towards the Very Revd Dr Robert Willis… and promptly vanishing beneath his robes. The Dean continues his sermon, unperturbed.
This disappearing act/cat is truly a Canterbury ‘tail’!
Leo was born on the Cat-hedral grounds and is described by the staff there as a very friendly and happy feline who loves to interact with visitors.
Canterbury Cathedral in Kent, UK was closed to the public last March, along with all Church of England church buildings, to contain the spread of the coronavirus. Since its closure, the Dean has been delivering his daily prayers on Twitter.
