Tista' taqra bil- Malti.
Access to Freedom Square in Valletta is limited. Police placed dozens of barriers around parliament this afternoon.
The barriers were set-up before a protest being organised by civil society activists started. Protesters are calling for the Prime Minister’s resignation. In a televised address, Muscat yesterday announced that he will be stepping down from his role after the 12th of January.
A number of shops which were impacted by the barriers closed early.
Newsbook.com.mt journalists who were in Valletta this afternoon also found barriers in front of the Prime Minister’s office in Castille. Carrots were also strewn across the steps leading up the main entrance.
