Tista' taqra bil- Malti.

On Sunday morning, Archbishop Scicluna celebrated the Holy Mass at the Wied Ghammieq Chapel in Kalkara were the beginning of the Advent was celebrated.

The Advent is part of the Christian church calendar, which is the period of preparation for the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.

Archbishop Scicluna said that the more we approach Christmas the more we experience the light of God, of the world. During his homily, the Archbishop said that we can see God in every person we meet and that it would mean a lot if, in this first part of the Advent, that is today and next Sunday, that ask ourselves, in what way I am waiting to experience God? Do I want to meet him? We will experience God when we least expect him, said the Archbishop.

This is the season during which we wait for the reign of God and as we decorate our homes for Christmas let us not remember something that happened 2000 years ago but we must celebrate Jesus as our friend, said Archbishop Charles Scicluna.
