The film The Boat, written by father-son team Winston Azzopardi (director) and Joe Azzopardi (actor), charts the terror-filled adventures of a fisherman who sets out on his boat for an idyllic day at sea only to sail into an abject nightmare when crashing into a yacht. He boards the vessel to discover it is deserted… only to realise his own boat has vanished.
Adrift, alone and abandoned, he has to rely entirely on his wits to survive.
During the third episode of Newsbook.com.mt‘s online cultural programme ‘Take a Bow‘, presented by Coryse Borg, actor Joe Azzopardi explains the challenge of acting in this particular film… and what being directed by his father was like!
