Watch: 34 new soldiers join the Armed Forces of Malta

Five females and seven Gozitans are amongst the 34 new soldiers that have been inducted in the Armed Forces of Malta. The recruitment process started back in November 2018 and during the past months, the recruits were instructed on how to use weapons, physical education as well as other subjects.

During his address to the recruits, Minister Michael Farrugia said that they are now part of the Armed Forces family and that their work is important for the security and wellbeing of the Maltese nation. The minister also lauded the Armed Forces of Malta during the  El Hiblu1 incident and added that he feels honoured to have received so much appreciation from foreign ministers and ambassadors for the army’s outstanding job on the matter.
