Vincent Van Gogh painting stolen from Netherlands museum

Singer Laren museum officials have said that the 1884 painting by Vincent Van Gogh called ‘Spring Garden’ has been stolen.

Thieves broke into the museum around 3.15 am and stole the artwork featuring the vicarage garden in Nuenen. It is not clear if any other works-of-art were stolen.

The Singer Laren museum is currently closed under measures to slow the spread of coronavirus.

In an ironic turn of events, today is Van Gogh’s birthday (he was born on the 30th March 1853).
