Typhoon hits Philippines: 4 dead & 350,000 evacuated

Four people died and nearly 350,000 are in evacuation centres as Typhoon Goni hit the Philippines.

International media is reporting how Typhoon Goni is the world’s strongest storm so far for 2020 with winds of 140mph and gusts of 174mph.

One person who was reportedly hit by a tree and a five-year-old was washed away after a river overflowed in Albay province.

There are also reports of volcanic mudflows as well as electricity supply and communication service outages.
