Two seminarians, who are currently in their fifth year of studies at the Archbishop’s Seminary, will ask Archbishop Charles J. Scicluna to accept them officially as candidates for the Ordination to the Diaconate and the Priesthood.

This celebration will be held tomorrow, Sunday 5th January 2020, during Epiphany Mass at St John’s Co-Cathedral, Valletta, at 9.15 a.m.

Sean Abela from St Paul’s Parish, Rabat, and Jean-Claude Attard from St Anne’s Parish, Marsaskala, will publicly manifest their will to offer themselves to the Church to serve in the ministerial priesthood.

Archbishop Scicluna, whilst accepting their offering with joy, will call on the candidates to ensure that during the remaining years prior to their ordination, they will prepare themselves to worthily receive Holy Orders.

In a statement, the Archdiocese asked the Christian community to pray for these two new candidates for the priesthood.
