Two new coronavirus-related deaths were registered on Sunday.
The health authorities have reported the passing away of 151 individuals.
A 69-year-old man who had tested positive for coronavirus on 21 November, died on Saturday night at Mater Dei Hospital.
An 81-year-old man who had tested positive for coronavirus on 18 November, died on Sunday morning at St Vincent de Paul.
Whilst offering its condolences to the family, the health authorities reminded the public to continue practising social distancing, proper hand hygiene and wearing of face masks.
On Sunday, Malta registered 97 new infections, six less than the day before. The number of active cases stands at 1,973.
