Man involved in Imġarr fight arraigned in Court

A 28-year-old man, resident of Nadur, who was accused of injuring others was arraigned in Court this evening.

he stood accused that at around five in the morning, while he was in Triq ir-Rebħa, Ghajnsielem, he endangered the lives of others and caused serious injuries to two people.

A man, aged 24 from Victoria, and a 43-year-old man from Għarb were taken to the Gozo General Hospital as they suffered some injuries.

He was also accused of damaging private property (electronic communication device) of one of the men and disturbing public peace.

Although the accused pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against him, he was not released from custody.

Man pleads guilty to sexually harassing young man

On another case, a 41-year-old man of Spanish nationality and resident of Nadur, was accused of sexually harassing a young man without his consent on Sunday, in Triq ir-Rokon, San Lawrenz. 

The accused pleaded guilty to the charges against him and was sentenced to two years in prison suspended for three years.

The prosecution in the first case was led by Inspector Bernard Charles Spiteri, while the second case was led by Inspector Bernard Charles Spiteri and Roxanne Tabone.
