Two grievously injured in a three-car Fgura collision

A man and a woman were grievously injured on Saturday night after they were involved in a three-car collision in Żabbar Road, Fgura.

The accident took place at around 10.15pm on Żabbar Road corner with Triq San Pietru between a car driven by a 26-year-old man from Syria residing in Qormi, a car driven by a 22-year-old woman from Paola and a car driven by a 43-year-old man from Fgura.

There were three Syrian passengers in the car with the 26-year-old, a 39-year-old man residing in Marsa who was taken to the nearest health centre and was found to be suffering from grievous injuries, a 24-year-old man residing in Birkirkara who escaped unharmed and a 23-year-old man who was rushed to Mater Dei hospital however his condition is not yet known.

The 22-year-old female driver was also taken to Mater Dei hospital where it was certified that she was suffering from grievous injuries.

The district police are investigating the case.
