Turtle lays eggs at Ġnejna Bay

A loggerhead turtle laid eggs at Ġnejna Bay.

Officials from the Environment and Resource Authority went on site and confirmed the news, that a turtle had laid eggs. A protective enclosure was erected around the nest.

The Environment Ministry said that officials will help out Nature Trust volunteers who will be working around the clock for the next 60 days guarding the nest.

Any illegalities witness should be immediately reported to ERA on 99210404 or via email on info.era@era.org.mt.

Nature Trust Malta invited the public who would like to volunteer to contact them on turtle.naturetrust@gmail.com.
