“Together we laughed, and we cried” – deceased Chippy receives wave of messages

Jean Paul Bonnett is the man who passed away in an unfortunate incident earlier today, when he suffered an electrical shock while he was working in a carnival store at Triq il-Mollijiet in Marsa. Jean Paul, mostly known as ‘iċ-Chippy’, was 45 years old and from Ħamrun. He was also well known for his enthusiasm for Malta’s carnival.

Many people reacted to the sad news by leaving messages of condolences on Facebook, including the actor JJ Curmi, who posted a photo with a caption stating how he remembers Jean Paul and himself laughing, and crying together through the ages. He added that now, only memories remain.

On Jean Paul’s profile many carnival enthusiasts wrote several comments and messages of sorrow and sadness.
