Three succumb to coronavirus

The health authorities have reported three coronavirus-related deaths on Thursday.

A 70-year-old man who tested positive on 16 November died at St Vincent de Paul on Wednesday. He has been identified as Fr Alfred Agius.

The second case is a 73-year-old woman who tested positive on 1 November and died at Mater Dei Hospital on Thursday

The third case is an 80-year-old man who tested positive for coronavirus on 6 November and died at Mater Dei Hospital on Thursday.

Whilst offering its condolences to the family of the victim, the health ministry reminded the public to continue making use of face masks in public and to adhere to the measures aimed at curbing the spread of the virus within the community.

On Thursday, the health authorities reported 152 new infections.
