Nicole Dimech, Joshua Stuart, and Ymen Riahi won the competition to design commemorative €2 coins on behalf of the Maltese Central Bank.
In a statement, the Central Bank said Nicole Dimech, Ymen Riahi attend St. Nicholas College while Joshua Stuart attends the Maria Regina College.
The competition was organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation.
The themes of the coins were cultural heritage, nature and the environment, and games. There were 129 submissions.
The three students who won were given a tablet and a donation of €1,000 was given to their schools.
President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, said that the initiative highlights the value of solidarity while promoting creativity.
This issuance program coins began in 2015. In 2017, €69,865 were collected to MCCFF.
