A house and three storey apartment block under construction have both collapsed on Gwardamangia Hill street tonight.
The incident, which is understood to have happened around 22.30 this evening, alerted local neighbours after they heard the sound of stones falling.
It is unknown if there is anyone trapped under the rubble and emergency services are on site conducting headcounts to determine the safety of local residents as well as the condition of adjacent buildings.
The area has been evacuated to ensure there are no residents in harm’s way should further stones fall from the site.
It is understood that units from the CPD, RIU and the ambulance service are on site.
The cause of the building’s collapse is not yet known.
