Tista' taqra bil- Malti.
This year’s act of love consists in looking after our mother’s health, Archbishop Charles Scicluna said in a newly released vlog to mark Mother’s Day.
Due to the outbreak of the coronavirus in Malta, various restrictive measures have been implemented to contain the virus resulting in a partial lockdown. Among the measures implemented, all visits to elderly care homes have been suspended while those over 65 have been asked to stay home. Further the authorities have urged the public to only meet with those from the same household.
Reflecting on the different measures implemented to safeguard public health, Archbishop Scicluna reminded the public that one could always send flowers on this day or a card respecting all social distancing rules.
Archbishop Scicluna reminded one to not only remember their parents on Mother’s and Father’s Day, but one should be thankful towards their parents on one’s birthday.
He wished a happy Mother’s Day to all.
