Tista' taqra bil- Malti.
The Partit Nazzjonalista leader Adrian Delia has said the budget presented by the Government has shown how the few will become rich.
Dr Delia was speaking in a press conference immediately following the Government’s announcement of Budget 2020. Delia said that the Government is not proposing anything to combat climate change and the environment was not a priority.
On the increase for the cost of living, Delia said that it does not make up for the increased prices in food products.
Asked by Newsbook.com.mt whether there was anyone left out by the government’s budget, Delia responded saying that the government left out half the population of the country, mostly women. He said that there wasn’t a single measure for women and the gender wage gap between women and men, ‘has not been addressed.’
On the Budget in general, Delia said there is no indication of which areas have not made growth in Malta. He added that the Government is not recognizing the problems in these areas.
In a very brief response from the Labour Party, they say that what has been recycled tonight is the Nationalist Party’s negativity.
