Claudio Marchisio has left the reigning Serie A champions after his contract was terminated by mutual agreement. In 2016 the 32-year-old sustained a serious knee injury which hindered his performance throughout the past two seasons.

The former Italy international, capped 55 times by his nation, played 389 matches for the Bianconeri and scored 37 goals. Marchisio, nicknamed “The Little Prince” won seven Serie A titles and four Italian Cups during his spell with Juventus. The midfielder is unlikely to play for another Italian club and has been linked with a move to the Major League Soccer.
