One can never predict what can happen in a football match, let alone if this is part of the finals of the World Cup. Winners are predicted but predictions many times go wrong. However one can give opinions about the four front runners.

In 2014 they were massacared by Germany with a mammoth 7-1 defeat. But that is the past. Tite transformed the team so much so that it recently beat Germany in a 1-0 match. Gabriel Jesus, Alisson and Coutinho are players who will leave their mark. Then there is Neymar the super-star. He is back in action which is good news for Brazil and bad news for whoever faces them.

This team is jam-packed with stars: Pogba, Griezmann, Mbappe and Dembele. With stars like these France has a very good chance to win the cup. If this happens it would mean Deschamps could join Mario Zagallo and Franz Beckenbauer as the third man who won the cup as a player and also as a coach.

They won the cup four years ago. They now have a better and stronger team. Will that be enough to do a double? Timo Werner, Leon Goretzka and Joshua Kimmich delivered during the FIFA Confederations Cup. They are eager to do the same in the World Cup.

Spain had lackluster performances at Brazil 2014 and UEFA EURO 2016. But today experts say that it could be a different story. Spain has a great mix of experienced players seasoned in success and a new batch of enthusiastic players hungry for winning. Only results will tell us whether Julen Lopetegui has found the miraculous blend.
