The President of the Executive Committee of Partit Nazzjonalista will convene its members this Tuesday at 6pm, primarily to discuss the crisis in leadership.
Underpinning this meeting is the fact that a number of people in the party have submitted their resignation. According to the Party’s Statute, it has to be the Executive that appoints some of the highest posts in leadership, among which are the Secretary General, the President of the Executive Committee, the President of the Administrative Council, the Treasurer and also the International Secretary.
The posts of Vice Leaders of the PN are filled through election among the party members, in the same way that the Leader of Partit Nazzjonalista is elected.
Newsbook.com.mt is publishing the agenda of the Executive Committee’s meeting in which Adrian Delia and his leadership shall not be discussed.
The meeting was convened after a request from Louis Galea who communicated directly with the President of the Executive Committee Alex Perici Calascione. This was made known through a letter that Louis Galea sent to the Leader of Partit Nazzjonalista earlier on this week, which was also sent to the media.
This morning the Leader of Partit Nazzjonalista said that he is determined to work further and that despite the tsunami against him, he is still leading the Party. He said this with a sense of willingness to keep leading Partit Nazzjonalista, in spite of admitting that there are 17 Members of Parliament who want him to resign.
