Prime Minister Robert Abela defended his government’s handling of the Covid-19 pandemic on Wednesday, stating that Malta was faring very well when compared to other countries.
Abela urged the public to show solidarity and to act in the interest of the common good. He urged people not to be selfish and to take into consideration the needs of vulnerable individuals in our society.
The present government is the only one in Malta’s history to avoid a decline in its second term, according to Prime Minister Robert Abela, who argued that the changes that led to him succeeding Joseph Muscat at the helm were crucial to this.
Nationalist Party MP Jason Azzopardi emphasised that Robert Abela has failed to deny allegations linking a sitting minister and a former senior Labour Party official to a serious crime, insisting that “the mafia has found its home in the Labour Party and the government.”
