Interviewed on One Radio, the Prime Minister and Labour Party leader focused his comments solely on the European Council meetings in Brussels which tackled the European Financial Budget for the period 2021- 2027.
PN leader Adrian Delia said that the current situation withing the Malta Police Force is surreal. On Saturday morning, while interviewed on Net FM, Adrian Delia referred to the investigation underway within the police traffic section where nearly all police officers forming part of this unit were suspended or arrested over an investigation for suspected overtime abuse and accusations they misappropriated fuel and used it for their own private vehicles.
On Friday evening PN leader and Leader of the Opposition Adrian Delia replies to questions on Xarabank on the latest developments related to the PN leadership crisis. In these last two days, Adrian Delia has faced a barrage of criticism by 17 PN MPs who want him out.
According to the President of the Malta Chamber, David Xuereb said he believes that a strong nation needs to have two elements; a strong government and a strong opposition. Interviewed by Jes Saliba on Newsbook Hour on 103 Malta’s Heart, David Xuereb said that the present situation within the opposition is creating concerns. “To assure equity we need leaders and a system that works of checks and balances” – said Xuereb.
The PN leader also said the party now must decide if it is for a selected few or if it belongs to everyone. He also said he tried to build bridges with those who not necessarily agreed with his way forward for the PN. He admitted that he has done mistakes because the needed reform process has not been concluded yet or because it is taking way too long.
"I was going to celebrate Mass when from the corner of my eye I saw someone sleeping on the sacristy's floor. I spoke to the man. He told me that he was a Hungarian living in Malta. He was homeless." This was the parting shot of one of the answers by Fr David Cilia, parish priest of the parish of St Paul in Valletta while being interviewed by Fr Joe Borg on Newsbook Hour on Saturday on 103 Malta's Heart. The Church will continue collaborating with the state on initiatives which contribute positively towards the common good, especially when it comes to assisting the most vulnerable within our society, Archbishop Scicluna explained.
